About Me

My name is Heidi Przytulski but that is a mouthful so most people call me Heidi Spencer. I am a Senior at Ball State University studying Communication Studies and American Sign Language. I am interested in research and writing in the fields of Communication and Disability Studies and how the two relate. I plan to attend Graduate School to continue research and begin teaching as an assistant.

When not researching I enjoy traveling and seeing the world as much as possible. I am constantly reading or going on hikes with my pup, Rory. I am a native of Central Indiana and had the opportunity to serve my state as a 2019 500 Festival Princess.

I enjoy volunteering and have done so in my community with the youth programs at Muncie Civic Theater and with the Freedom Bus Project. Across the state I have been able to volunteer with the Hindu Temple of Central Indiana, many schools, and 91.7 WEEM FM at Pendleton Heights High School, where I am an alum.
